Essential Summertime Things
This time around summer is hot and raining and stormy and then like spring. I'm doing markets outside and discovering what we really want around this season.
I put away the candles, they are always available online!, and brought out some new stuff inspired by the season that we're in.
I can't believe it took me this long to do seasons based on the weather rather than simply ideas about home decor and fashion, so silly!
This summer, we have market-tested natural coconut oil roller ball bottles scented with real essential oil blends for a portable mood lift. It's hard to choose between them, I'll be honest.
Straight Lavender: this is an aroma people reach for again and again. Great for relaxation, before bed, soothing and herbal. Sometimes it's nostalgic too. I didn't grow up with lavender, it's a late discovery for me and I think it might make me really love it more.
Joy is a blend of Sweet Orange, Bergamot and Jasmine -- bright, citrus-forward, the one people smile at when they test it, and most take it home.
Clarity has Peppermint, Rosemary and Lemon essential oils. Blended to give you a little wake-up after a long day or midday work break. A bright/minty/camphoraceous scent profile.
Grounded Blend Cedarwood, Frankinsence and Patchouli is a woodsy, earthy combination of aromas that are base-note heavy so it lasts longest on skin of the four, earthy/woody profile, appeals to people who don't like florals or citrus.
Which one should I choose?
Whichever one you'll actually use! But if you're stuck, think about where the bottle will live.
Nightstand? Lavender or Grounding. Lavender is the classic — floral, herbal, familiar. Grounding is woodsy and steady, the one for people who don't like florals.
Desk or bag? Clarity or Joy. Clarity is crisp and minty — the mid-afternoon alternative to another coffee. Joy is bright citrus over cedarwood, the one people test at my table and immediately hand to their friend.
Still stuck between two? They're small. This might be a both situation. You could even go with a day and a night version to keep you covered no matter what.
